Julien Maltais Laberge, B.A.A., M.Fisc.

Graduated from a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance at HEC Montreal in which he participated in an exchange program with HEC Management School of the University of Liege in Belgium, he perfected his academic background in completing the master's degree in taxation at Sherbrooke University.

He joined Gallant tax firm as a senior tax specialist specialized in international tax in fall 2011, advising corporate executives of any size active internationally as well as individuals who are relocating to / from abroad. His practice being focused on practical advice, he vulgarizes and handles complex cross-border issues integrating payroll aspects, expatriation, structure deployment abroad, financing and transfer pricing.

More specifically with the U.S. aspect that pertains to his practice, he holds a preparer tax identification number "PTIN" issued by the Internal Revenue Service, which authorizes him to prepare and process all kinds of U.S. tax returns for his clients. He also oversees the firm's individuals, estates and corporations U.S. tax compliance for all of the group's clients.

Member of the APFF and the Canadian Chapter of IFA, he sits on the Canadian Tax Foundation Young Practitioners Group's Steering Committee.

In the fall of 2013, he joined Yves Coallier as vice president of consulting firm GCI Tandem inc., pursuing his mission of offering integrated professional services with high added value in international taxation, tailored for clients seeking a highly personalized approach, all in close partnership with Gallant tax firm's multidisciplinary team.
